Once upon a Facebook request, Romario spotted Dana and thought, “I’ve got to know this girl!” Dana, on the other hand, took one look at his profile and thought, “Why does this guy look so old?” Naturally, she left his friend request hanging in the digital void. But Romario wasn’t giving up that easily. He followed her on Instagram (because if Facebook didn’t work, maybe the gram would!) After a few days of thought and probably a lot of squinting at his hiking photos, Dana finally accepted the follow.

Now, Romario had a plan. You see, he loved hiking, and Dana, well, Dana loved the indoors. So, Romario did what any persistent man would do—he posted scenic views from his hikes, hoping to lure Dana out of her cozy, inside world. And guess what? It worked! Soon they were talking regularly, every single day, and before long, they couldn’t imagine life without each other. Fast forward 6-7 months later, Romario popped the question—not the big one (yet)—but asked Dana to meet up in person. They grabbed some food, saw some views, and had an unforgettable conversation. Was it a first date? Romario thought so. Dana? We’re still not sure!

Their first outing became a cherished memory, even though their dating life soon met its first challenge—COVID-19. But despite the lockdowns and distance, they stayed strong, becoming best friends and soulmates. Three years later, Romario popped the question (yes, that one), Dana said yes, and here you are reading this story, as we’re getting ready to say “I do!”
